The ultra-luxury edit

The country is small. The access is everything.

New Zealand rewards travellers who can move quietly and quickly — a glacier in the morning, a cellar in the afternoon, a lodge with nine suites and its own bay by evening. What separates an ultra-luxury journey here is not thread count. It is helicopters, private guides, exclusive-use houses, and doors that open because someone local asked.

We compose those journeys one at a time, for two to twelve travellers, across both islands — then hand you a single proposal with named lodges, named guides and honest numbers.

What ultra-luxury New Zealand offers

Six things money should actually buy here.

  • 01

    Lodges the world flies for

Rosewood Kauri Cliffs, Huka Lodge, Matakauri, Blanket Bay, Annandale, The Lindis, Mahu Whenua — held as suites, cottages or entire exclusive-use residences, with private chefs and cellars.

  • 02

    Private aviation as your road

Helicopter and private turboprop between regions: glacier landings on the Southern Alps, Fiordland by air with a cliff-edge lunch, Great Barrier or Great Walk country in an afternoon rather than three days.

  • 03

    One guide, yours alone

Never a coach, never a shared van. Naturalists, Ngāi Tahu and Ngāpuhi cultural guides, fly-fishing masters, sommeliers and mountain professionals — chosen for you, not rostered to a group.

  • 04

    Access that isn't sold publicly

Private stations closed to the public, after-hours museum and marae welcomes, cellar-door tastings with the winemaker, heli-picnics on braided riverbeds, Milford before the first boat leaves.

  • 05

    Wellbeing, quietly built in

Alpine spa treatments, thermal soaking under dark skies, private yoga on a lake terrace, and days deliberately left empty — pace is part of the design.

  • 06

    Discretion by default

Private terminals and transfers, single points of contact, no shared itineraries, no names on manifests we don't control. Ideal for families, honeymoons and milestone celebrations.

Why travellers place this with us

The best place to arrange it is from inside the country.

  • New Zealand owned, New Zealand based

We live here. Every lodge, guide and pilot in our network is one we have travelled with ourselves.

  • One journey at a time

We accept a limited number of ultra-luxury journeys each season so each proposal is written, not templated.

  • Indicative first, then exact

You see an honest estimate online. Nothing is charged until you approve a costed proposal with named lodges.

  • On the ground while you travel

A direct New Zealand contact for the whole journey — weather calls, timings, re-routing, restaurant changes.

When to come

  • Dec – Feb

Long alpine evenings, coastal cruising, harvest approaching in Central Otago.

  • Mar – May

Harvest and autumn gold through Wānaka and Arrowtown — our quiet favourite.

  • Jun – Aug

Southern Alps ski-fields by helicopter, thermal country, cellars and long lunches.

  • Sep – Nov

Whales and newborn lambs, snow-capped peaks over green valleys, gardens waking.

01How long, and how many

02Where in Aotearoa

Regions and lodges are drawn together once we understand where you'd like to be.

Choose your destinations to draw your journey

03Signature experiences

Two signature experiences are included. Choose anything that appeals — we'll shape the rest around it.

    04Private aviation & bespoke interests

Bespoke experiences are sourced individually — they are not priced online.

Pricing depends on route, aircraft, landing requirements, duration and availability.

      The planning framework

      • · Luxury or ultra-luxury accommodation, two guests sharing
      • · Premium and private ground transfers
      • · Breakfast, and dinner where included and confirmed
      • · Domestic scheduled or regional flights between itinerary regions where specified
      • · Bespoke journey planning and premium coordination
      • · Two signature experiences included

Not every component applies to every journey. The final proposal controls the actual inclusions.
